Our story began in 1983, when passionate entrepreneur Jack McEntee founded Universal Pest Services. With years of experience in the commercial janitorial industry, Jack set out to build something truly special—an organization grounded in the principles of Quality, Value, and unparalleled Customer Service.

Determined to replicate his prior success, Jack established Universal Pest Services as the premier provider of commercial pest control in the Philadelphia tri-state area.

In 2004, leadership passed to Jack’s son, Bob McEntee, who expanded the company’s services to include residential pest control. This growth laid the foundation for the next chapter in our story.

In 2024, we made a strategic decision to separate our commercial and residential services into two distinct businesses, allowing each to better serve its customers. As part of this transition, we launched Universal Home & Pest Solutions, a company dedicated exclusively to residential clients—serving those in single-family homes, condos, and individually leased units. Meanwhile, Universal Pest Services continues to focus solely on commercial clients, including healthcare facilities, universities and colleges, and multi-unit buildings across the Philadelphia tri-state area.
