Universal Pest Services was founded by Jack McEntee in 1983. Jack, having recently sold his commercial janitorial company to the Aramark Corporation, was looking to build another business that would be based on the same bedrock principles that made Universal Building Services so successful; Quality, Value, and the industry’s Best Customer Service.
In the beginning, Universal Pest Services was focused exclusively on serving the commercial pest control market, quickly becoming the largest provider in the Philadelphia tri-state region. In 2005, we expanded into the residential pest control market, which has become a key driver of growth for our organization.
As we look to the future, Universal continues to see significant opportunities for growth and innovation. Sensor technology is but one example of such innovation, allowing us to remotely monitor for any potential rodent activity 24/7, without the need for rodenticides. This technology can help keep your home or business rodent free, while reducing the use of toxic substances.
Universal has recently welcomed the 3rd generation of McEntee’s into the family business, and we could not be more hopeful and excited about our future.
